Lisa Sommerfeldt is a well-known and successful German playwright and author of radio plays. In her work, she combines modern components, poetic motifs, and the use of dialogue, but also brings in special narrative passages for theater she calls “experienced monologue”. She has been awarded numerous prizes and scholarships. In 2026 her structurally unique prose debut “schlaglichter”, a “novel in 22 stories” using different linguistic styles and speech patterns for the various realities of the figures, was published by Parasitenpresse (Cologne). Some of her plays and shortstories have been translated and are available in Polish, French, English, and Russian.
